Dr. Frank Pappas

Dr. Frank Pappas was born and raised in Bayside, NY. He attended Bayside High School, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from New York University and went to Howard University College of Dentistry where he obtained his DDS degree. At Montefiore – Bronx Municipal Hospital, he completed a one year residency program. Dr. Pappas has been practicing in Bayside for over 25 years.

Dr. Pappas has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education to keep up with the latest advances in dentistry. As a result, he has earned Fellowships in Various Dental Academies:

  • FAGD – Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry
  • FIADFE – Fellow International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics
  • FNYAD – Fellow New York Academy of Dentistry
  • FAAFS – Fellow American Academy of Forensic Sciences
  • Invisalign Certified

Dr. Pappas is active in the various local, regional and national dental societies. Dr. Pappas is a member of the ADA, AGD, NYSDA, QCDS, NYSFD, ASFO and the AAFS.
Dr. Pappas is a Deputy Chief Forensic Dental Consultant to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner-NYC. He is Director of Postmortem Morgue Operations (Dental Division), and member of their Special Operations Response Team. He acted as a Supervisor during the World Trade Center Attacks of 9/11.

Dr. Dean Cherpelis

Dr. Dean H. Cherpelis was born and raised in Whitestone, NY. After graduating Bayside High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Queens College, City University of New York. Dr. Cherpelis attended the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, earning his dental degree. Dr. Cherpelis has been practicing in Bayside for over 25 years. In order to stay up to date on the latest dental advances, Dr. Cherpelis has taken hundreds of hours of continuing dental education. As a result, he’s earned fellowships from several prestigious dental academies. Dr Cherpelis is:

  • Invisalign Certified
    Oral Conscious Sedation Certified
    FAGD – Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry
    FAAFS – Fellow American Academy of Forensic Sciences

Dr. Cherpelis is active in the various local, regional and national dental societies and a member of the ADA, AGD, NYSDA, QCDS, NYSFD, ASFO and the AAFS. Dr. Cherpelis is a Deputy Chief Forensic Dental Consultant to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner City of New York. He is a member of the Information Technology section of their Special Operations Response Team. After the attacks of September 11, 2001, Dr. Cherpelis also served as a tour commander during the World Trade Center and Flight 587 Recovery.
